Summer

For a lot of us, it already feels like summer is here, so I wanted to group together songs that put me in a summer mood.

Last summer, I went hitchhiking all around Gaspésie with a friend of mine. We met a lot of different people and saw so many gorgeous places. On a particularly beautiful day, between Percé and somewhere near Newport Point, a young couple was kind enough to take us in their red Mustang convertible. They were listening to Adele’s Rolling In The Deep ON REPEAT: they liked it that much. One of the best and most surreal ride, under the sun, with the wind in our hair and Adele’s voice filling us, young and free. It was that cliché but that great at the same time. Ever since, of course, this is a summer song for me.

I won’t tell every story behind every song, that’s not the point, but it’s just an example as to why some of them that aren’t really considered ‘summer songs’ happen to be here.
